My Story
On November 19, 2021 my Dad died unexpectedly in his sleep, comfortable in his bed.
He never shied away from talking about death, especially his own. He always said he would "wake up dead" and in the days following his death I held onto the comfort of that reality.
In the years following his death I have become invested in my grief journey and learning to cohabit with this new element of my life. I began studying grief, bereavement and death shortly after some of the dust settled.
My hope is to build a community of grievers and grief supporters to foster a better understanding of death, dying, grieving, and how we can better support one another.
